We usually think about Guinness World Records in terms of individual achievements that prove extraordinary talents and skills. This time, it was different. The challenge was a team effort, and its success depended on the cooperation of the entire industry.
What was the challenge?
To gather as many branded products as possible in one place and break a Guinness World Record. Sounds simple? In practice, it required collaboration between hundreds of companies from all over the world.
During PSI 2026 in Düsseldorf, a special installation was created: a table shaped like the PSI logo, where each company could showcase one promotional product representing its brand.
The goal was to break the record in the category: “Most varieties of brands in a promotional merchandise display”.
The previous record stood at 250 brands.
With each day of the trade fair, the table filled up more and more – manufacturers, distributors, and marketing agencies added their products, creating a collective showcase of the entire promotional products industry.
This year’s PSI edition was special – after 60 years, the trade fair was held in Düsseldorf for the last time. Instead of a symbolic farewell, the industry chose a shared action. The idea to break the record was created in cooperation with European Associations Cooperation (EAC), which brings together companies from the promotional products industry across Europe.
We also joined this initiative twice! As Eblis B&L, we contributed an original R-PET promotional bag with double handles, and as the brand and manufacturer dothat, we showcased personalized lace charms.
Did we achieve the goal?
Already on the second day of the fair, the counter exceeded 317 brands, which meant the record was broken. But that wasn’t the end – the new goal became reaching the highest possible number.
The finale took place on the last day of the fair during the “Come Together” event, when the official counting was carried out. The final result?
511 brands – more than double the previous record!
The Guinness World Records certificate was presented to the organizers, and the announcement of the result was broadcast live.
This initiative clearly showed one thing: the promotional products industry is a community that can truly work together when the goal is shared. Sometimes, all it takes is one idea, one table, and hundreds of brands to make history.
